Welcome to Katie Girls.com. “All Things Katie Girl. First and foremost, I’m a wife to a Navy-loving, hardworking, big-hearted man. In addition, I’m a mommy to a bustling, high-powered, sensitive and brilliant 4 year old. That with my faith, are my main focusses as I move forward in this incredible life. And, it’s a busy life. It is. I have to stop myself often, and slow down long enough to smell the roses.
On the side, and when I can, I’m a blogger, entrepreneur, baker and gardener. I blog about all that happens in this busy life. I find myself wanting to make and create things, I bake and cook daily and in the spring and fall, gardening happens around here!
How It All Began
Sometime in the past, I just had a desire to connect with others, I love emailing “free tips” and ideas to others. There is something in me that wants to get a party together or a group set to go off somewhere. So, in the fall of 2013, I launched Chicks Down South and since then with my Mom’s entries to the site, we share our heart about home, family, faith, fun and gardening.

What You Will Find On Our Website
Our website is about living life intentionally. What we’ve found in our own lives is that we can live day in and day out and have no real purpose for the things we do. On the other hand, if we live intentionally, we focus on the things that really matter such as our faith, family, friends, gifts and talents and desires. Our focus is to live in the moment and work in an effort to savor our time together with purpose in mind. We want you to join in this effort with us.
What Our Site is NOT about
We are not the “experts”. We are living life just as you are so you will not find perfection here but, you will be able to try our tried and true things and find good results. Our site is not about how to blog or how to cook or even how to be a great mom or dad although we will offer some great tips from our positive experiences.
